For the entire North Island
Mainly fine with areas of morning frost. However, a few early showers about coastal Gisborne and western parts of Northland and Auckland.
Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago
Fine and frosty this morning, then high cloud increasing.
Buller and Westland
Fine and frosty this morning, then cloud increasing with drizzle developing in the evening.
Fiordland
Drizzle developing this morning, turning to rain in the evening, with heavy falls.
Southland
A frosty start, then cloud thickening, and patchy rain developing in the west and south tonight.
