Title: Forecast in Brief for Friday 12th June 2015

Northland, Auckland, Coromandel, Bay of Plenty
Fine spells and a few showers.

Waikato to Kapiti, including Taumarunui, Taupo, Taihape
A few showers, becoming more frequent and heavier this afternoon, possibly squally about Manawatu and Horowhenua Kapiti Coast.

Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Wellington, Wairarapa, Nelson, Marlborough
Mostly fine. A few showers, mainly about the ranges. Severe west or southwest gales in western Nelson, Wairarapa and central Hawkes Bay from afternoon.

Canterbury
Mainly fine. A few showers this afternoon, possibly heavy and squally with hail.

Otago, apart from Clutha
Scattered showers spreading north, with snow lowering to 200 metres in the south.

Buller, Westland, Fiordland, Southland and Clutha
Rain turning to squally showers with hail this morning, clearing about Westland in the afternoon. Snow lowering to 200 metres in the south, with southwest gales in exposed coastal areas.
