Cloudy periods with isolated showers.
Bay of Plenty
A few heavy showers east of Whakatane clearing and becoming fine this morning.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Patchy rain in Gisborne clearing by afternoon, then becoming fine throughout.
Wanganui and Manawatu
Mostly cloudy with a few showers at times.
Horowhenua and Kapiti to Wellington, also Wairarapa
Any remaining showers clearing and becoming fine this morning.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Fine.
Buller and Westland
A few showers, turning to rain in Westland for a time during morning and early afternoon.
Fiordland, Otago and Southland
Scattered rain clearing this morning. Drizzle developing about the Fiordland coast in the evening.
