Rain in Northland and Auckland, spreading south and becoming widespread this morning with some heavy and possibly thundery downpours. Gales developing during the day.
Waikato to Taranaki, also Taumarunui, Taupo and Hawkes Bay
Overcast with rain spreading south this morning, clearing in the evening.
Wanganui to Wellington, also Taihape and Wairarapa
Dry with high cloudiness.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Fine weather.
Buller and Westland
Scattered showers, clearing this morning and becoming mostly fine. However, a few showers returning to Buller in the evening.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
A few showers about the south coast, spreading inland this morning.
