Cloudy periods. A few showers about Coromandel Peninsula and Northland, clearing from Northland this morning and Coromandel Peninsula in the evening.
Waikato and Bay of Plenty to Taumarunui and Taupo
Fine spells.
Taranaki to Kapiti, also Taihape
Mainly fine, but some cloud and a few light showers developing in Taranaki and Kapiti this morning.
Gisborne to Wairarapa, also Wellington
Mostly fine, however, one or two light showers possible in Wellington this morning.
Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago
Fine spells.
Southland
Mainly fine, but scattered light rain developing this evening.
Buller and Westland
Mostly cloudy with patchy drizzle, turning to rain south of the glaciers this evening.
Fiordland
Cloudy with drizzle, turning to rain this morning and heavy falls from afternoon.
