Northland to Waitomo, also Coromandel Peninsula and Bay of Plenty
Isolated showers clearing this morning, and fine spells increasing.
In the west from Taranaki to the Kapiti Coast, including the central high country
Cloudy periods. A few showers, clearing this morning.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Scattered rain in Gisborne clearing overnight and becoming fine throughout.
Wellington and Wairarapa
Mainly fine.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine, a few showers near the Alps and about western Nelson.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Showers turning to rain this morning, heavy and possibly thundery at times.
Otago and Southland
Scattered showers spreading east today, then clearing this evening.
