Gisborne
Scattered rain spreading off the ranges, clearing this afternoon.
Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa, including the Tararua District
Fine spells.
Taranaki to Wellington
A few showers, some heavy and possibly thundery about Kapiti Coast and northern Wellington before dawn.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine. A few showers in Nelson and the Marlborough Sounds before dawn.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Showers, heavy and thundery at times.
Otago and Southland
Fine apart from a few early morning showers.
