Northland and Coromandel
Mostly fine. Isolated light showers in the east.
Auckland, Bay of Plenty, central high country, also Wanganui and Manawatu
Fine and cloudy periods.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Fine with high cloud.
Taranaki, Horowhenua, Kapiti Coast and Wellington
Mostly cloudy. Drizzle about Mount Taranaki and the Tararua Range.
Nelson
Cloud increasing, with rain developing about Golden Bay.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine, but areas of low cloud about the coast this morning.
Buller and Westland
Rain spreading north, with heavy falls in Westland from evening.
Otago and Southland
High cloud, with brief rain around dawn.
Fiordland
Rain, with heavy falls this evening.
