Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
Fine spells. Isolated showers in the east, spreading throughout this afternoon.
Waikato to Taranaki, including Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Remaining showers clearing overnight, then mainly fine.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Occasional rain north of Dannevirke, patchy drizzle further south.
Wanganui to Wellington
Areas of cloud this morning, otherwise fine.
Buller, Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and also northern Westland
Cloudy morning and evening.
Southern Westland and Fiordland
Cloudy, patchy rain spreading southwards.
Otago and Southland
Fine, apart from areas of low cloud or fog morning and night.
