Long fine spells and isolated showers.
Auckland to Manawatu, including the central high country
Fine, apart from areas of morning cloud or fog, and morning showers about coastal Bay of Plenty and eastern Coromandel Peninsula.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Fine with increasing high cloud.
Horowhenua Kapiti Coast and Wellington
Cloudy periods, with a few showers mainly from this evening.
Nelson and Marlborough
Cloud increasing, a few showers developing this evening.
Canterbury, Otago and Southland
Period of rain developing this morning, mainly north of Dunedin, clearing from Southland and Otago from afternoon.
Buller
Cloudy with a few showers.
Westland and Fiordland
Rain at times, clearing in Fiordland from afternoon.
