Northland and Auckland
Fine spells and isolated showers.
Coromandel and Western Bay of Plenty
Cloudy periods and a few showers, some possibly heavy about Coromandel at first.
Remainder of Bay of Plenty
Cloudy periods, and the odd afternoon shower.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Fine spells developing. A few showers in Gisborne.
Waikato to Wellington and Wairarapa, including Taupo and Taihape, also coastal Marlborough
Fine spells. Isolated afternoon showers about Waikato and Taupo.
Inland Marlborough, Canterbury, also Nelson and Buller
Mainly fine.
Otago and Southland
Mainly fine. A few spots of rain this evening.
Westland and Fiordland
Cloud increasing. Rain developing in Fiordland.
