Northland, Auckland, Coromandel Peninsula and western Bay of Plenty
Showers, possible heavy about western Bay of Plenty this morning, becoming less frequent by afternoon, then clearing in the evening.
Waikato to Taranaki, including the central high country, and the remainder Bay of Plenty
Cloudy periods, with isolated showers clearing late this evening.
Wanganui to Wellington, Gisborne to Wairarapa, also Nelson
Fine, apart from morning and evening cloud.
Marlborough to North Otago, also Buller to Fiordland
Mainly fine, but low cloud morning and evening about Canterbury coast, and scattered rain developing about Fiordland tonight.
Remainder of Otago and Southland
Cloudy periods.
