Fine spells.
Bay of Plenty, Taupo and from Gisborne to Wairarapa
Mainly fine, but isolated afternoon and evening showers about the ranges.
From Waitomo to Kapiti, including Taumarunui and Taihape
Cloudy periods, with isolated showers, clearing this afternoon.
Wellington, Marlborough and Nelson
Fine, apart from areas of morning cloud.
Buller and Westland
Cloudy periods, with isolated showers clearing early. A period of rain south of Hokitika from evening.
Fiordland
Patchy drizzle turning to rain this morning, then clearing in the evening.
Canterbury
Fine spells. Scattered showers south of Christchurch late afternoon and evening.
Otago and Southland
Cloudy periods. Scattered showers developing this morning, some heavy during the afternoon or evening.
