Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Cloudy periods and a few showers, clearing most places this afternoon but isolated showers persisting about the ranges, some heavy.
Taranaki and Taihape to Wellington, also Wairarapa
Becoming fine, with areas of cloud and isolated showers clearing this morning.
Nelson, Buller and Westland
Mostly fine, with isolated showers mainly about the ranges.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine, with areas of cloud and any remaining showers clearing this morning. The odd shower about inland Marlborough this afternoon.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Fine, apart from isolated showers in Fiordland this afternoon.
