Mainly fine. A few afternoon and evening showers.
Coromandel Peninsula and Bay of Plenty
Cloudy periods, with a few light showers.
Wanganui to Wellington
Mainly fine, brief shower this morning.
Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, also Nelson, Marlborough and North Canterbury
Fine and warm.
Buller
Cloudy periods with a few showers.
Westland and Fiordland
Showers in Fiordland, turning to rain this morning, with some heavy falls and possible thunderstorms during the afternoon. Rain spreading further north in the evening.
Southland, Otago and South Canterbury
Cloudy periods. Showers spreading north this morning, with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon and evening.
