Now, Game 6 and another match for our Black Caps.
This will be played at the University Oval at Dunedin, & the forecast is looking good so far.
Scotland gained a spot in the Cup through a qualifying tournament for 2nd tier playing nations.
Rankings before the Cup got underway were NZ 5th & Scotland 13th.
In warm up matches Scotland thrashed Ireland & nearly beat the Windies.
Still, not too hard to pick this one :D

Gees, do our Black Caps know how to make a game interesting, or what ??
We should have managed this comfortably, but, but, but, . . . . .
Our man Brendon actually won a toss, his record isn't great in that department, and he decided to send the Scots in.
Over No 2 & Trent Boult's first over, 2 wickets in 2 balls, both LBW, Trent getting the ball to swing.
Tim Southee then snared 2 wickets in 2 balls in over no 4, the Scots in trouble at 4down for 12 runs.
One would have been excused for thinking "this will be over before oranges".
However, the Kilted ones dug in, but were eventually all out for 142 in the 37th over.
Our boys obviously wanted to knock that off in a hurry, and they paid for it losing fairly regular wickets.
However, we got there in the end, 146 for 7 down, in the 25th over.
Interesting that the Scots manage 2 half centuries & we couldn't even muster one.

Our points table: Most on 12 points, Martin & Smudge are on 9, & with a late entry from Hank13, he is on 3.
The good news is there are a heap of games left, so tons of time to make up ground :D
Now, Phil, it is great to see you getting involved, though I suspect a certain 'trix type has been waving her cattle prod around!!
However, the game started at around 11:00 am & you decide to come in at around the time our boys started batting, ie the second innings!!
It's not quite as bad as Smudge's try the other day, but so sorry, I'm really struggling to find an excuse to accept your pick.
Cheers all

Now come on Wolfie, NZ was a sure thing.
Phil would have been hard at work and would have had no knowledge of the time or score.
Even if we had of lost Phil, the typical kiwi 'lad', still would have picked NZ.
Give the man his 3 points for just taking part maybe ;)

Yes, NZ was a sure thing, but cricket can be a funny game . . .
And we do have a history of struggling when chasing small totals.
:D :D :D :D :D
So, the Match Referee upstairs has suggested the On Field Ump should review . . . . .
Um, er should we, lets have another look, ok, flip flop, maybe, another camera angle . . . . ??
Ok, it's Umpires Decision & he is going to . . . . . . yes, he has overturned the original decision !!
So Phil now on the table with 3 points along with Hank13.
Coo, excitement what?? Almost like a real game. ;D
