Title: Cricket World Cup - Match 1 - New Zealand vs Sri Lanka - 14 Feb 11:00 am

So here we are & the first game up is the Black Caps V Sri Lanka.

Rules
Pick a winner for the game & you will gain 3 points.
If the game is delayed for any reason & has to be replayed on a reserve day, your picks will carry over.
If the game ends as a draw, you will be awarded 1 point.
If the game is not completed for any reason whatsoever, you will gain 1 point.
Your picks need to be in reasonably promptly, so any received after kick off will be ignored . . . probably!!

Our wonderful Black Caps have had a great lead up, with the only apparent wobble against Zimbabwe a few days back in a warm up match when they struggled to 157 for 7 wickets at Lincoln after 30 odd overs before the game was rained off. The only shining light was Guppie (Martin Guptill) making a century off 86 balls.

Sri Lanka lost to Zimbabwe in a warm up match a few days ago.

So, an interesting scenario, & a good result for our boys is vital.

Come on, get into it, pick the winner.

A great outcome for our Black Caps!!
There were a number of key performances from our lads that swung the game our way, but overall a terrific team contribution.

Now . . . . . mark, the game started at 11:00. You rocked up at 12:23 to place your pick.
That is like turning up at the first drinks break with "Oi, can I play??". It's just not cricket old boy, what?  ;)

Now, we are not exactly overwhelmed with interested punters, so I will let your pick stand.
However, the TV Umps upstairs may just call for a review . . . . .

But you said Aussie time so in fact Mark was 1 and a half hours early :)

No Jen, not on this one.
I did say that for the Aussie - England & India - Pakistan games.
Trouble is, Aussie have 3 time zones, will have to fix that . . . .

Correction: as far as the cricket goes there a 4 time zones.
