Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
Cloudy periods, with isolated showers becoming confined to Northland by afternoon.
Waikato to Kapiti, including Bay of Plenty, the central high country and Hawkes Bay
Mostly fine. Isolated afternoon and evening showers about inland Waikato, Taupo and Taumarunui.
Gisborne
Cloudy periods with isolated showers becoming confined to the ranges this evening.
Wellington and Wairarapa
Fine, but cloudy with drizzle this evening.
Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland north of the Glaciers
Mostly fine. Isolated afternoon and evening showers about the ranges.
The remainder of Westland and Fiordland
Rain clearing this morning then fine.
Canterbury
Cloud increasing this morning. A few showers developing inland this afternoon.
Otago and Southland
Cloudy periods, a few showers clearing this afternoon.
