Title: Forecast in Brief for Monday 9th February 2015

Northland, Auckland, Coromandel Peninsula, and Bay of Plenty
Cloudy periods.

Waikato to Kapiti Coast including the central high country
Mostly cloudy. Patchy drizzle turning to rain south of Lake Taupo this evening.

Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, and Wairarapa
Fine, apart from rain developing south of Hastings this evening.

Wellington
Mostly cloudy with evening rain.

Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Fine at first. Rain spreading north, with possible thunderstorms for north Canterbury and Marlborough from afternoon, then clearing.

Buller and Westland
Mostly cloudy with drizzle patches. Rain spreading north, briefly heavy, then clearing.

Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Rain turning to showers this morning. Showers becoming confined to the south coast in the afternoon.

Chatham Islands
Fine at first. Rain developing this evening.
