Northland and Auckland
Cloudy periods, with a few showers, clearing this morning.
From Waikato to Kapiti, including Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, the central high country, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Fine spells, with any remaining showers about the Kapiti Coast clearing overnight.
Wairarapa, Wellington and coastal Marlborough
Mainly fine. However, a few showers clearing this morning.
Inland Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland
Fine weather.
Canterbury
Mainly fine. However, scattered showers clearing from inland early morning.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Showers about the coast areas of Fiordland and Southland, clearing this afternoon. Fine elsewhere.
Chatham Islands
Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery with hail, easing overnight.
