Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
Cloudy periods and a few showers, becoming confined to Northland this evening.
Waikato to Whanganui, including Bay of Plenty, Taupo and Taihape
Mainly fine, but scattered showers, mainly during the afternoon and evening.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Cloudy periods, with a few drizzle patches this morning.
Manawatu to Wellington
Fine and cloudy spells.
Nelson and Marlborough except the Kaikoura Coast
High cloud, with isolated showers developing from late morning, mainly about the ranges.
Kaikoura Coast, Canterbury Plains and Eastern Otago
Mostly cloudy with patchy drizzle, but fine spells this afternoon.
Inland areas of Canterbury and Otago, and all of Southland
Cloudy periods. Scattered showers about the ranges this afternoon and evening.
Buller to Fiordland
High cloud and scattered showers.
Chatham Islands
Low cloud with patchy drizzle at times.
