Fine spells. Isolated showers this afternoon and evening.
Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taupo, also Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Mainly fine, but isolated showers this afternoon and evening, some heavy and possibly thundery.
Waitomo to Wellington, including Taumarunui Taihape and Wairarapa
Fine spells. A few showers developing this morning, clearing this afternoon .
Nelson, Marlborough
Mainly fine, but rain about the western ranges of Nelson at first. Isolated showers inland this afternoon and evening, some possibly heavy.
Canterbury
Mainly fine, but brief morning showers. Isolated showers this afternoon and evening, some possibly heavy about the foothills.
Otago, Southland
Scattered showers, clearing inland for a time this morning.
Buller, Westland, Fiordland
Occasional showers, some heavy with isolated thunderstorms at first, clearing this morning, then fine.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy with the odd shower clearing then fine.
