Northland to Waikato
Mainly fine. Isolated morning showers about the west coast.
Coromandel and Bay of Plenty
Mainly fine. Drizzle patches in Bay of Plenty clearing this morning.
Taranaki to Wellington, also Gisborne to Wairarapa, and the central high country
Fine, apart from areas of cloud in western areas morning and evening.
Nelson, Marlborough and Buller
Fine, apart from increasing cloud in Buller with patchy evening drizzle.
Westland and Fiordland
Rain spreading slowly north, reaching northern Westland this evening. Some heavy falls possible in the south.
Canterbury
Fine and warm.
Otago and Southland
Scattered rain developing in Southland this morning, and a few showers further north, clearing this evening.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods.
