Mainly fine. Isolated afternoon and evening showers north of Auckland city. Patchy drizzle developing from Waitomo to Taranaki tonight.
Wanganui to Wellington
Mainly fine, drizzle about the ranges this morning and one or two showers possible this evening.
Gisborne to Wairarapa
Mainly fine. Isolated showers developing south of Hastings this afternoon, possibly heavy inland.
Nelson and Marlborough
Isolated showers developing this morning, some heavy and possibly thundery this afternoon.
Buller and Westland
Scattered rain in Westland, spreading into Buller this morning, clearing everywhere later.
Canterbury and Otago
Cloudy with early drizzle, then isolated afternoon showers about the Canterbury foothills.
Fiordland and Southland
Fine spells, a few showers developing in the south this evening.
Chatham Islands
Low cloud and drizzle.
