Northern and western areas from Northland to Manawatu, including Coromandel
Mainly fine, but the odd afternoon and evening shower inland tomorrow.
Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Taihape, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Fine tonight. Scattered afternoon and evening showers tomorrow, some heavy with isolated thunderstorms, especially inland.
Horowhenua, Kapiti, Wellington and Wairarapa
Mainly fine, but brief rain possible tomorrow morning.
Marlborough and Nelson
Mainly fine, but morning drizzle about the Kaikoura Coast tomorrow, and isolated afternoon showers inland.
Buller and Westland
Scattered rain tonight, then clearing from Westland in the morning, and Buller tomorrow afternoon.
Canterbury
Showers spreading north this evening. Morning drizzle patches tomorrow, then clearing later.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Remaining showers clearing overnight. Mainly fine tomorrow, but patchy rain developing late in the day.
Chatham Islands
Showers developing tomorrow.
