Bay of Plenty and Taupo
Mainly fine. Cloud increasing this evening and patchy drizzle developing.
Gisborne and Hawkes Bay
Scattered showers, clearing this morning and fine spells increasing.
Waikato to Wellington and Wairarapa, including Taumarunui and Taihape
Patchy drizzle clearing this morning and becoming mainly fine.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland
Mostly cloudy, with patchy drizzle especially morning and evening.
The remainder of the South Island
Areas of morning cloud, with drizzle possible near the east coast, then becoming fine.
Chatham Islands
Showers clearing early morning and fine spells developing.
