Northland
Fine spells.
Auckland, Waikato and Coromandel Peninsula
Cloudy periods. Isolated showers south of Auckland City.
Waitomo to Wellington, including Taupo and Taihape
Rain spreading north this morning and clearing south of Wanganui, then clearing further north and becoming mostly fine this afternoon.
Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay
Scattered showers developing this morning, mainly about the ranges, some heavy with thunderstorms possible in the north during the afternoon, clearing at night.
Wairarapa, Nelson and Marlborough
Showers, clearing early morning, but isolated afternoon showers about Marlborough and Nelson ranges.
Buller and Westland
Patchy drizzle clearing and becoming fine this morning.
Canterbury
Any remaining showers clearing this morning then fine.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Mostly fine, but scattered rain developing in Fiordland tonight.
Chatham Islands
Showers, some heavy with hail.
