A hard one for kaihoka :)
-
Imprint of the sole of a shoe
Melon or pumpkin skin
-
I was going to say the bottom of a shoe...the toe, I think.
-
Hmmmmmm..you picked a good one this time Jenny. I think intrepid might be on the right track so to speak. My first guess ....part of a foot print/toe left in some mud and dried out????????
-
Nope but you are all heading in the right direction.
clue - it is lightly enlarged :)
-
An old leather sole
-
Is it the underside of the shoe with the sole removed?
-
Dirty feet - cracked heels...
Or an animal hoof?
-
A gumboot imprint
-
Toko is getting warmer :)
-
An Elephants hoof imprint
-
Hot Babs, keep coming??????
-
Rhino footprint
Hippo footprint
Baby elephant footprint
-
Try a camels hoof... oh those are cloven i think so must be something different like a donkey...
-
imprint[/s]
Fixed it for you 8)

hmm tricky Babs and Toko.
Yes and no.
Stay with your guess, but elaborate more.
-
To be honest, it might be closer to home than we think. It may be a young horse's hoof or pony hoof that has not had shoes fitted. I can't see the whole hoof to see the frog but...
-
Horseshoe.
-
Horses hoof
-
Nope getting cold now.
Go back to Guess 10 of Babs.
The animal is correct.
Just need to get the part of the animal.
-
Is it the ear of an elephant? (that needs a wash :D )
-
Elephants trunk imprint
-
Is it part of an elephant?
Or the foot of an animal?
-
Part of the end of elephant trunk :D
-
Elephants again, ok, I think elephants have toes or segments to their feet/hooves, so that is my guess - the bottom of an elephants foot at a segment toe thingy...
-
is this close
-
and correct Toko, well done.
The bottom being the underneath :)
In photo, top right.

Yes I dilly dally with that but as I put here:
hmm tricky Babs and Toko.
Yes and no.
Stay with your guess, but elaborate more.
It is not the hoof as such. It is the bottom, underneath of the toe. Top right in Photo.
Toko was spot on.
I actually asked 2 clients in my workshop for their opinion and they reckoned no to hoof :)
-
I think Babs is right thought too... she had the animal and the hoof right.
-
But this post infers that it is not the foot/hoof? ;)
-
But the "Hoof" is the "bottom" of the foot - I should not have had to describe it - that is where the Farrier applies the shoe - to the "hoof". Babs had it right in the first place.
How many on here are farmer's sons and have had farriers on their farms. We had five horses and a pony. You talk about a hoof print. It's the "hoof" that makes the imprint. ;) ;) Well done Babs - again.
-
It is hard to give clues and not give away the answer.
The answer I was looking for was.
The underneath of an elephants foot.
It is not an imprint at all.

No biggie let's get on with the next puzzle
