The North Island
Mainly fine. Isolated showers about Bay of Plenty clearing before dawn.Becoming cloudy in the west from Waitomo to Kapiti tonight.
Buller
Cloud increasing, and drizzle developing towards evening.
Westland and Fiordland
Mostly cloudy, with patchy drizzle turning to rain in Fiordland this evening.
Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Otago
Mostly sunny.
Southland
High cloud thickening, with rain developing about the coast tonight.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy this morning but increasing fine spells from afternoon.
