Northland to Kapiti Coast, including Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and the central high country
Showers, possibly heavy and thundery easing this morning, fine spells developing.
Gisborne to Wairarapa and Wellington
Fine, apart from a few morning showers about Wairarapa, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay ranges.
Nelson
Showers, some heavy with thundery falls in the west, clearing overnight then fine.
Buller to Fiordland
Showers, with heavy and thundery falls, easing overnight but rain developing in the afternoon.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Mainly fine.
Otago and Southland
Scattered showers.
Chatham Islands
Showers.
