The northern half of the North Island, that's from Waitomo, Taupo and northern Hawkes Bay northwards
Fine and cloudy periods with early drizzle patches. Isolated afternoon and evening showers, with possible thunder in Northland and Bay of Plenty.
Taranaki to Wellington, also central Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa
Fine, but cloud increasing in the west during the day.
Marlborough and Nelson
Fine.
Buller and Westland
Cloud increasing. Period of rain during the afternoon or evening.
Canterbury and Otago
Mostly fine. A period of showers in the evening, with a strong southerly change.
Southland and Fiordland
Cloudy areas. Showers developing afternoon, with strong cold southwesterlies, and snow to 400 metres at night.
Chatham Islands
Cloudy periods.
