Northland, Auckland and Coromandel
Cloudy periods and isolated showers, showers becoming more widespread in Northland this evening.
From Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne to Taranaki, inland Wanganui, the central high country and Hawkes Bay
Cloudy periods and scattered showers.
Coastal Wanganui to Wellington, also Wairarapa
Scattered rain clearing this morning, leaving fine spells.
Nelson, Marlborough, Buller and northern Westland
Scattered rain clearing Nelson and Marlborough this morning, and elsewhere during the afternoon.
The remainder of the South Island
Showers retreating to southern Fiordland, Southland and Clutha this morning, and becoming fine elsewhere. However, cloudy periods persisting in south Otago and then returning to Canterbury this evening.
Chatham Islands
Fine spells, then evening rain.
