Gisborne
Isolated showers clearing this morning, then fine.
For the remainder of the North Island
Mostly fine. Isolated afternoon and evening showers inland from Waikato southwards, some possibly heavy about the central high country. A few showers spreading to Coromandel Peninsula and western Bay of Plenty later.
Buller, Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury
Mostly fine, but isolated afternoon and evening showers, some heavy.
Westland and Fiordland
Cloudy, with rain in Fiordland and morning drizzle further north, but rain spreading into southern Westland later.
Otago and Southland
Early rain, then scattered afternoon and evening showers, some heavy and possibly thundery with hail in the east.
Chatham Islands
Fine.
