Title: Forecast in Brief for Tuesday 7th October 2014

Northland to Manawatu, including Coromandel, Bay of Plenty and the Central High Country
Showers, clearing overnight. Mainly fine tomorrow. Westerly gales, easing later today.

Gisborne and northern Hawkes Bay
A few showers, clearing overnight with a change to strong cold southwesterlies. Fine tomorrow.

Remainder of Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Kapiti, Wellington and Marlborough
Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery with hail clearing overnight. Fine tomorrow.

All the South Island, except Marlborough
Occasional showers, some heavy and possibly thundery with hail and snow to 500 metres in the south. Showers clearing overnight and becoming fine in most places. However, rain returning to Fiordland tomorrow afternoon spreading north later.

Chatham Islands
Showers, some heavy. Westerly gales at times.
