Title: Afghanistan – Avalanche buries entire village
Post by: Mark on March 09, 2012, 05:32:51 PM
More than 140 are missing and 39 confirmed dead after the avalanche buried Sherin Nazam village near the Tajikistan border.
So far, only six have been rescued, and authorities fear that there may be no other survivors.
“There are kids, women, old people. Maybe most of them are dead,” said spokesman Abdul Raouf Rasikh.
Afghanistan’s harshest winter in 15 years has already claimed scores of lives

Read that Mark and for only 6 to survive statistics is dreadful.  No chance now of any more survivors.
