I know what it is but I cheated, so I'm out :P
I think having no scale is misleading though. I think it's fair to inform others that the mystery object is about the same size as a standard 9V battery.

Still all cold cold cold.

Yes correct David, but I am getting my Christmas decorations done...lol

Bigger than a 9v battery but yes small.

Why cheat David. Weird guesses is half the fun.

It has an HDMI port or something similar - note the notch on the side bottom corner, actually looks like a HDD data port.  So I would say it was a digital HDD solid memory-chip style.

Ok more hints are needed.
It can be used on a PC or Laptop.
It is wireless but you would manually have to operate it.
It maybe used on your desk or or in the air.

Vacuum cleaner??
What normal person has a vacuum cleaner on their PC disk...lol

and YES!!!!

Mouse it is and a very cool mouse at that. Here is the info on it:

This weird little piece of geometry is indeed a mouse. But more than just a wireless, surface-dwelling input device, the Logitech Cube is also a presentation aid that can be used to go back and forth between slides when you pick it up in the air. And if you stroke the top in mouse mode, it's touch-sensitive skin will scroll through whatever you want it to.
