Its U G L Y that's what it is...
You can see two eyes and a brown coloured flesh of a mammal, an animal that has active glands - skin is shiny, so is likely in a warm/hot climate (moisture on skin aids in cooling). Could be a porcupine or a hedgehog... or some other unknown to me equatorial mammal...
It has a longish snout as the front is quite out of focus.

Paintbrush or a Gruffalo

Those look like blue eyes Toko. Hedgehogs to my knowledge have brown. But you are right the coat does look like a hedgehog.
Wet, slimy and yes ugly as.
I dread to guess rat as I do not wish to see a larger photo if it is.
I will guess a dog who has just had a bath :)

I am thinking Hamster or Wombat!
-
somebody might have it right if they make a decision :)

Paintbrush

I will go with wombat.

I'm going to give it to Toko even though he seemed to talk himself out of it - and called it UGLY.
Here's the cute little fella that turned up on my lawn a couple of weeks ago

Yes - he got pretty close and wasn't afraid, I was lying in the grass pretty close to him taking the pics.
This is how close he was, they don't have sharp teeth :)
