Rain day 16 over here although sun trying to surface at present :)

I had cause to travel to Taupo over the weekend.
About a third of the way out of Napier heading to Taupo the ground started to become browner and browner.

I could not believe how brown and dry Taupo was.

Although over here on the east coast we have not had a huge amount of rain, we have had constant drizzle and hence our ground is fairly green still.

Partly cloudy afternoon for Howick with a rather breezy WNW wind. We got 33mm of rain overnight (well, since 5pm actually) which is the best rainfall in months. The garden certainly looks grateful, and I am too because I won't need to use the hose for a week  :D
