I can see the temperature changes in the WD data gatherer vers 5.8 but the main console does not detect the changes. I can restart WD and it will get the current temperature and then not change after that.
I have rebooted and then tried upgrading to latest version of WD. I notice that the latest version of WD shows the wind speed in kts in the WD data gatherer, even thou it is set to kmh on the WMR200 console. Prior to upgrade I was sure it was displaying in kmh as I was comparing WMR200 console display with readings in the data gatherer and WD console.
Hmmm...anyone got any ideas what might be happening here?

I seem to remember that this was a common problem with WMR100 consoles in the past.
I think the solution was reset the console using the reset button.
Worth trying if you haven't already done so.

The WMR200 console is sending the right temperature to the WD data gatherer but that is not getting to the WD console...how would resetting the WMR200 console change this?
-
You could try checking that the right station type is selected under setup wizard as I had to reset my mums one when she did the last update.
-
Station type is set to WMR200....the problem occurred prior to me upgrading to the latest release. I am thinking I might have a corrupt file somewhere as everything was fine a couple of days ago.
I always upgrade before looking for a solution elsewhere, as a later release may have fixed the problem I experience.

I remembered seeing something about similar problems some time ago, so I googled it and Mr Weather Display offered the same advice.
Have a look here http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php?topic=33285.0 (http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php?topic=33285.0)
However..... I hadn't read further down... so resetting may be simplistic There is a FAQ on the subject on that forum which may be helpful. Brian (Mr WD) probably monitors this thread and probably will chip in at some stage.
regards.

That could be the fix...the thing that makes me think it may not be the problem in this case, is the problem is related to the temperature only. Everything else is updating. The console is in my studio so it will be tomorrow afternoon before I can reset as I have meetings in the morning.

is the correct outdoor temperature sensor number selected in the weather station type setup, wmr200 setup?
(i.e 0 is default)
-
Yes, if I restart WD, then it picks up the temperature, however it does not update after that. I did not get a chance to reset the WMR200 console today...too busy with work.

there might be some other setting wrong
best to .zip and email me your settings files

Okay I got to the bottom of the problem with some new batteries. I forgot that when I have the WMR200 temperature channel in WD set to 0, it displays the temperature gauge on the console channel 1, and when it is set to 1, it displays channel 2. WD was set to channel 1, so I should have been looking at channel 2's output in the gatherer not 1. The batteries were working intermittently hence there was some recording happening. I only changed the batteries a couple of months ago so didn't even think they would have been a problem.
Thank you for your help :)
