I recently set up my own web server to service the weather station. It's a Synology NAS box with the Web service installed which is basically an Apache server.
Everything appears to working smoothly except the NZLWN admins don't appear to be able to read the clientraw files in order to produce the Station data and the Map isn't reading it either.
Has anyone any experience with this type of box and what privileges do I need to set up?

I think the problem is the parked domain name.
I'll talk to the admins, but essentially, the IP of the server needs to be used in the scripts rather than the domain name.
I set up a Yahoo weather widget that reads the clientraw file. It will only do it using the IP number, not the www.portrobinson.net address.

Seems strange Tony. I can see your clientraw.txt file ok.
Maybe using the ip address will help. :)

Everything using portrobinson.net is being placed in <IFrames> which in turn are using IP references.

Is it using the correct IP?
[edit] IP number removed
Doing a DNS lookup (Whois) will give the IP of the Registrant.

Thanks to the Admins & Jenny for re-connecting the umbilical cord to my new server.
Moving domains has it's ups and downs!
cheers

Hi Tony,
I have a synology nas and hard time finding anyone who has weather software working one except you!
I am a novice at apache do you have any instructions or a site you found how to install a weather server package? Checked out your weather page and great job.
