Rain and Snow for the South Island Monday & Tuesday. Rain heads up to North Island Tuesday on including those cold southerlies for Wellington coming off the Strait. It appears Spring is not all here.

Better day today. High cloud with sun filtering through. Temperature 16.2° after a low of 9.4° amd heading fora high around 18°. Light wind from WSW with the strongest gust in the last hour at 14kmh. No overnight rain.

Mixture of high and low cloud with the odd patch of blue. Temperature 14.6° after a low of 12.4°. Expected to reach around 18° before a southerly blows through later in the day. Wind is from NW, light at the moment, though there was a gust from the SW a few moments ago at 12kmh. No rain over the past 24hrs.

In one word.... bleak.
Overcast with rain. Temperature 8.1° after a low of 7.3° and not expected to rise much more than a degree or two. Wind from ENE, blustery at times with the max gust in the last hour at 20kmh. Since midnight 4.2mm of rain recorded. Rain rate at the moment is 8.5mm per hour.

Starting with nor-easters at 7pm it changed to nor-westers by 1am. Winds to 46km/hr. Still averaging 15-30km/hr. About 8mm rain overnight. Temp above 9deg all night.

A low of 1.3ºC this morning, southerly breeze of immeasurable kts, and sunny with slight fog.
Day has brightened even more but has scattered whispy clouds, and a WSW breeze up to 12km/hr and rising.
Temp is now 14.8ºC at 11:40 and rising.

Sunny at the moment, but black clouds to the south (which is the where the wind is from - SW) Strongest gust in the last hour at 19kmh. Temperature 10.1° and not expected to rise much above 13-14°.
More rain expected later in the day. 1.4mm has fallen since midnight.

As per my "shout" - perhaps only twice (1983 & 1992, but haven't checked data yet) has such low sunshine been recorded here for a 3-week period in Sept-Oct.
