Todays weather in a Word . . . Ugly! Showers most of the day, increasing in intensity all day and finally becoming continuous rain for a couple of hours or so mid afternoon to late afternoon but then miraculously cleared away from about 18:00 onwards. Cooler tonight already than it has been for a night or three, the jumper and the slippers were needed for most of the day in the office today. It was nice to have much less wind today than we have had lately, maximums up around 60 km/hr Friday & Saturday, around the Mid 40 km/hr mark yesterday and just 23 km/hr today. Wind direction for the last 3 days or so has been pretty evenly spread between South West and North West however most of todays wind came from between North West and North East believe it or not but most of the rain seemed to come from the South West and West, by 18:00 wind direction had gone through North, East and just past South, currently 6 - 8 km/hr from the SSW. Outside relative Humidity has managed to stay below 99% for more than three complete 24 hour cycles but succumbed to the pull of the 99 max just after Midnight and stuck there for almost 12 hours straight but was back up there again by 17:00 this evening. The Barometer has had a pretty lazy day today (yesterday and the day before too just quietly) with pressure just meandering along in a quite narrow 5.5 hPa band today. Some good solid Sunshine and light breezes tomorrow would be nice, thanks.
