For the third time this Winter a Low/Storm of tropical origin has come to nothing, the promise of things to come ie: rainfall in reasonable quantities seems to have evaporated and just passed right on by. This last event dropped a total of just 3.9mm, spread over 2 days so barely enough to lay the dust and certainly not enough to raise the level in our water tank. Was another warm day today, working outside in shorts & T-Shirt for the third time this winter, no recollection of this ever happening before, cutting up firewood with the chainsaw, Max temp today was 18.9 an 11:11. Wind was a reasonably steady South Easterly but it did fluctuate between East and South at times, max gust was 39 km/hr at 3:06 in the morning with the max 10 Minute average being 26 km/hr just one minute later. Barometer bottomed out at 13:39 on 1006.6 hPa and closed out the day just a smidgeon under 1010 hPa. Rain forecast fro tomorrow . . . We will see!
