Title: moving WD from 1 computer to another

I have updated our weather station computer and moved the Wd software over. However it shows as being as unregistered now... Do I need to reregister WD on this new computer and will the data have come over too?

Yes. From memory you need to run the wd registry settings on the new computer to do that. On the old one run the backup and it will create the reg file zipped within that. Also good practice to copy your wd dir off uour old pc to the new one if you can

Yes you have to re-register off that computer - I think there is a menu item at top under Help or something to email to Windy from that PC.  Yes - gotta copy over the backup reg file and double click it as Gabba says...  The data files and logfiles, if they are transferred over into the same folders under /wdisplay should be picked up and no loss.  At rugby in Cambridge tomorrow morning, back by about 3pm.  I'll give you a call then to see how you are...  Off out to Cossie Club for dinner now...
