As the wind subsides and the sun pushes through, the snow flurries should clear New Zealand today bringing an increase in temperatures.

the Reefton NIWA site recorded -4.2°C which is the coldest May temp since 2008, and the 2nd coldest since 2001.
it was a very good frost.
