Weather Statement:
City of Toronto
4:27 PM EDT Tuesday 09 April 2013
Winter storm watch for
City of Toronto issued
Ice pellets and freezing rain likely Thursday.
A series of low pressure systems will give periods of rain to the regions into Wednesday night. On Thursday, a stronger low will arrive from the southwest and combine with a colder airmass from the north. As a result rain is expected to change to ice pellets and freezing rain Thursday morning. The ice pellets and freezing rain are expected to persist through Thursday night and be heavy at times.
Poor travel conditions are expected Thursday. In some places, power outages may occur. Conditions are expected to improve Friday.
A series of low pressure systems will bring periods of rain to the regions throughout the week. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 50 mm are
expected over most places by late Wednesday, with the highest amounts likely over Southwestern Ontario. Additional rain or snow is forecast for Thursday and Friday with a chance of ice pellets or freezing rain over some locales.
Tomorrow more Current Conditions, for now just an impression of this "Spring" weather situation.
I think we have to live through it........
Cheers,
Arthur

The weather?????
Simply BAD, very BAD...
Just measured a Rain-Rate of 14mm/hr with Thunder and heavy downpour....
So far this week 35+ mm and the Winter Storm Watch is in effect for tonight and tomorrow (Ice Pellets, Freezing Rain)
Nice to see that New York has summer weather with Sunshine and + 25 C.......
Current Conditions:
Temp: + 6.7 C
Apparent Temp: + 5.2 C
Sky: Overcast
Humidity: 100%
Baro: 1015 mb
Precipitation: LOTS... Rain Rate 14mm/hr | Today 9.4mm (and steady growing | Thunderstorm
Winds: Light S at 15 km/h max
UV Index: 0
A few more days before we see the sun again.
From a weather perspective, it's very interesting!!!!
There's a 'Battle' going on between a 'High' and 'Low' front, with the dividing line the US/CAN border.....The High is losing, so the cold (Northern) air mixes with the moisture from the South, resulting in Freezing Rain and Ice Pellets.......
Wish it was over....
Cheers,
Arthur
