a note: the Reefton data you have listed is actually for Springs Junction which is 45km further inland and 435m elevation vs 200m for Reefton.
Reefton has a NIWA station, but Metservice don't use this, and uses Springs instead as the 'Reefton' station. I have asked them why but they haven't replied - the weather is often rather different.

The Reefton NIWA site shows: 0.4mm & 244mm
My station shows: 0.5mm & 223mm

David have you the dates re the last 30 days. This will help with manual calculations.
Much of the East Coast rain for Feb was early month which would not count going back 30 days from today.

Anyways I have this taken as at 30 days back from today.

Wairoa : 39.0 and Year 156.9
Nuhaka   43.0 and Year 172.5
Frasertown 48.0 and Year 160.9
Lake Waikaremoana 39.1 and Year 125.4
Mahia Beach 16.2 and Year 31.8

I should send these to the Metservice as their coverage of the rainfall in NZ this month has no record of us over here on the east :(
This is quite a large area when you consider Nuhaka to the Lake is 90 odd ks

Below is the New Zealand Weather Network Forum's Tally for the Year.
Stations who have been offline during the year to date have been excluded.
This report includes 78 Stations compared to the above list of 61 :) :) :)

Mt Cook village would top all the above totals - it had 1018mm in January. Not much since though, judging by Arthurs Pass.

David our total for West Melton from 7th Feb to date is  0.8 mm in total.
The same as Christchurch Airport.  Our total to date for 2013 is 64.2 mm where we had a couple of good falls early in Feb and also Jan.
Trust this is what you require.

Hi all

The Maungaraki total is incorrect. Had something weird going on with the rain measurements that I'm not sure if it's fixed or not (it hasn't rained long enough recently to test it!) I have corrected the totals based on data from a NIWA station not far from here, so they should be accurate

Total for year to date =217.4mm. We had 0.2mm this morning, but apart from that we haven't seen rain for around 6 weeks

Cheers

HI Gabba,
I have messaged requesting a break down of your rain totals for Jan, Feb and March so I can fix our spreadsheet.
Thanks

I thought that Maungaraki total looked crazy! (was over double Kelburn).

I notice that the MetService has listed Airports and then the city associated with them.  Why have they only listed Christchurch Airport and not Christchurch City itself as well.  Surely that was not damaged in the quakes - unless it was attached to a building somewhere - which I doubt.
My one stood up to the huge 7.1 one and being  not far from the faultline and is about the only thing that wasnt damaged.

doing a comparison with 2012 shows we're only 50mm behind in terms of rainfall from January 1st.
so that's why we're not as bad as many.
