Saturday
North Island, fine in the north. Isolated showers for most regions south of Hamilton. South Island, showers gradually clearing, just a few lingering about the coasts of Southland, South Otago and Westland.
Sunday
North Island, a few morning showers in regions north of Taupo then becoming fine. Cloud and some showers with a southerly change from morning in eastern regions from Wellington to Gisborne. South Island, becoming mainly fine, with isolated showers gradually clearing.
Chatham Islands
Mostly cloudy, with patchy drizzle or rain clearing for a time on Saturday. Showers and strong westerlies developing on Sunday.
