Port Robinson, North Canterbury 8.40am

Overcast sky with the threat of a shower, but none fallen so far. Temperature 16.9° after a low of 12.3° Expected to fine up later with a high of around 24°. Wind from the NW at an average of around 4kph. Gust in the last hour was 24kph from WSW. No rain recorded since midnight.

New Plymouth: sky very hazy- brownish sort of tone and not much strength in the Sun (which suits me)

Sunny and a bit windy and think it will get warmer.  If this keeps up we will be back to square one with the fire danger once again - which the Fire Chief has predictd will be by this Monday.
