12 degrees, currently, after an overnight low of 10.6 degrees, so quite cold .
Cloudy, humid.
-
May be a little sun later, but I'm calling it now - not enough in the last 2 days to prevent a record low summer sunshine tally for Wellington city - over 100 years of records! Feb. may narrowly avoid the same fate. #&@% retrograde low - Corbett's Met Service video showed a small depression moving back towards NZ, bringing southerly cloud back to us.
-
Clear skies this morning generally, but clouds and fog north of us at Hamilton. An overnight low of 7.5ºC with 14.5ºC currently at 8:50am. If the clouds don't come then we should have a lovely warm day, I'm picking the Advective warm air rising up the valley to meet us will be north to norwester under the overlying "high in the sky" southerly breeze.
-
Retrograde Low...I like that expression! Cloud has peeled back here in New Plymouth and the Sun is back for the time being.
-
Blue sky, light Breeze and presently at 15.2.
Over night low 9.3 which is low low for February.

I cannot recall a colder February day...it reached 14.8 degrees around 9am and has gotten cooler since.
-
Sounds ideal weather. But I presume you have had some rough seas if the fuel ship has been lying to for that length of time?

Read my words: it is 13.7 degrees at New Plymouth airport, and the middle of the day in February. Lower than the normal overnight low and similar to a late July afternoon.

agree with the comments re: New Plymouth weather. terrible day today. we've had the fire going since 4pm or so. not good weather for the holiday. reached 25C at home in Reefton today. there's always tomorrow.
